OUR STORY

Farming since 1817

Our family has been working this land since we settled it in 1817. Farming operations have ranged from dairy, cattle, tobacco, crop farming, and now trees. At least one operation has remained the same; maple syrup!

ABOUT BLACK BRIDGE FARM

Black Bridge farms was founded by Hannah Howey in 2021 with a vision of converting the family farm into a Christmas tree farm. Christmas trees have been planted on the farm for family use for a number of years, and extending that operation is just the natural next step.

The farm is also currently growing seedlings which will be available for sale in future years. The hope is to extend beyond just Christmas trees and grow a variety of evergreen trees for commercial and retail sales.

Black Bridge

The current operation is named after a bridge which used to be near the property and continues to carry nostalgia
